Educational Assistance – Financial assistance for relevant course costs and examination fees together with paid study leave is available to all permanent employees who undertake approved further education courses. The level of support is decided on a case-by-case basis and is dependent on the relevancy of the course, the business needs and the personal development aspirations of the employee.

Family Friendly Hours – Flexibility in starting and finishing times is allowed where possible and is subject to the needs of the department and to pre-approval by the department senior manager.

Leave – Basic holidays of twenty days per annum increase by one day after increments of two, 10 and 15 years service. A further one personal business day is given to all employees after three years service.

Compassionate Leave – Five days compassionate paid leave is granted for the death of a spouse, child, parent or sibling.
Leave of Absence – Extended unpaid, leave of absence (e.g. one year’s leave to travel) is considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to pre-approval by the employee’s senior manager.
Marriage Leave – Three additional days are granted for marriage.

Life Assurance/Death In Service (DIS) – Life assurance at four times pensionable salary is given to all permanent employees.

Pension – Depending on seniority, employer pension contributions of 2% – 7.5% are matched by the employee. This includes a premium to cover permanent health insurance.

Permanent Health Insurance (PHI) – Members of the pension scheme receive permanent health insurance that pays out 75% of earnings (less State benefit) after illness of 13 weeks or more in addition to covering pension contributions and life assurance costs during the period of illness.

Sick Leave – A minimum of four days paid sick leave per annum is paid to permanent employees upon production of a doctor’s certificate. Senior grades may qualify for a longer period and if so, this will be noted in their contract of employment. If an employee has no sick days in a full calendar year, they are given an additional two days leave the following year. Employees with only one sick day in the calendar year, receive and additional one days leave the following year.

Voluntary Health Insurance (VHI) – Senior positions and members of our Professional Scientific Staffing (PSS) teams qualify for VHI Company Plan Plus paid by the company.

Employee Referral Program - €500 is paid to any employee who introduces a new, permanent employee to the company. The fee is paid when the introduced employee has successfully completed a six-month probationary period.

Membership of Professional Bodies - The company will pay fees for professional membership of one relevant institute. This is applicable only to full-time employees who have completed their probationary period.

Sports & Social Club - Plans team-building activities, outings and other events for employees and families.
